MY FIRST HAIRCUT!

We took Josiah to have his hair cut at the Cookie Cutters and he did such a great job. The only time he fussed was when we had to take him out of that comfy little car chair. He did not want to leave. He was having so much fun. Of course, when you're sitting in a race car and watching cartoons while some girl plays with your hair, why would you want to leave. He looks so grown up now. Well not too grown up, but just a little.

Josiah, the big helper

Josiah sure does like to help people out. He likes to help mommy when she's cleaning the kitchen. He likes to help his little cousin Lukie take his pacifier and help Livy take care of her baby dolls, and he just loves helping his daddy work on all sorts of things. As you can see he is one busy little boy. Always on a lookout for those who need his assistance!

In the video, Josiah is taking Luke's pacifier out of his mouth and then putting it back in. But in the end, Luke lets Josiah know that when he means business he means business. When Josiah cries at the end it is because he has been bitten!

More BD pics

THE BIG ONE!!!

Tammy and Miranda Constable did a wonderful job on the cake! It tasted fantastic!

Josiah is now the big one year old! It was a sad day for mommy to see her little boy all grown up. OK it wasn't that drastic, but he is no longer a little baby and that is sad if you think about.
We all had a blast. Josiah just relished in all the attention and toys. I think that he really enjoyed his big day.
There was such a nice turnout and it was just a great day all in all.

This one's for Hannah

just hanging out

taking alittle snooze

would I do anything bad?

Well, Hannah has just reminded us that we need to add a newer blog. Sorry. Time just gets away from us sometimes and before we know it, it's been about 2-3 month's since we've last blogged.

Right now we are busy cleaning b/c we have the whole church over tomorrow night after we carol for food and fellowship. I just love Christmas! May we reflect on all that God has done for us this year. He has done so much for me that I would be writing all night to just explain to you how God has protected me so many times this past year.

We have also been chasing a little boy who knows the meaning of the word no but refuses to obey it. It seems as if you get one area clean and he's destroyed it the moment you turn your head. But what would you do without him?

Break in the action!

Life was really a roller coaster for the month of September. I haven't been able to update the blog all month. For those who maybe didn't know. Tabby experienced a ruptured tubal pregnancy on Sept. 13. She lost 3 liters of blood. The ER nurses didn't think she was going to make it. But thanks to a mighty God and the prayers of people all around the country and the wonderful Drs. and nurses at SOMC in Portsmouth, she pulled through very well. I won't give you all the gory details but just suffice it to say it was a close one. I do want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, those that brought food and Tabby's sis Erica for coming home with us and helping out for a week. Now that that's over it's back to the crazy preaching and singing schedule and working in home care.

We have been having wonderful services at church. God has come in tremendous ways. This Sunday we will be traveling to Lexington, KY to hold services at the Pilgrim Holiness church there. It's exciting to see how many opportunities God has been giving us to share His word with others.

Josiah is still growing like a weed. He now has 6 teeth and begin walking full force at 9 1/2 months!!! Needless to say, (why do we say that when we are going to say what we just stated was needless to say) We are very busy chasing him and trying to prevent yet another bump on the head. The pets aren't safe the nick knacks aren't safe, and what is it about pet food that draws the attention of a 10 month old.

Well, that's the update for September. Hopefully as things return to normal I will be able to update again soon.

Anderson, IN

We had a wonderful time in Anderson at Faith Holiness Chapel. The congregation there was very welcoming and a great pleasure to sing and preach to. Josiah was a big hit with all the little girls. God helped though out the day and we want to say a big thank you for the invitation.

The church grounds are beautiful. They have about 8 acres with a wonderful playground, barn, picnic shelter and wonderful church. Here are a few pictures to show you what I mean.

My Son, My Son!!!

You have never seen a child with more mischievous looks then my son. He seems to have that cat that just ate the canary look many times throughout the day. Here are a few examples.

Hmmm. With this hammer I can smack daddy on the head or knock dents into the coffee table. Decisions decisions.

It wasn't me. I know it looks like I did it, but would a face this sweet do anything bad?

That mess? That was there when I came in... Honest!

Here kitty kitty... I just want to bite your ear.

I know that's dirt on my face but I don't know how it got there.

I have now learned that I can open drawers. There are so many things that mommy and daddy don't want me to have in here. Let's see how fast they come and get me.

All is well

Everything is OK again. I reunited with Tabby and Josiah last Thursday. We spent the weekend at her parents and then I preached at her home church Sun eve. We have been really busy this week with Camargo Church Camp. I believe things are really going to be busy with filling in for other pastors so that they can take vacation and take care of other business. I will actually be at my home church this weekend but the following weekend we have been asked to go to Anderson,IN and preach at the Bible Holiness Church. All this traveling can really take a toll but we enjoy it.

We have also been enjoying the fruits of our labors from our garden. The tomatoes are finally ripening and the peppers are coming out full force. Soon we will have watermelon and cantaloupe. Yummy! We also have a family reunion coming up the end of this month. Lots of prep goes into it. There are many times 80 or more in attendance. It will be a lot of fun. So if I don't get a chance to post soon please forgive me. I like to do it. But finding the time is difficult.

All Alone

Well, I'm a bachelor again... Just for a few days that is. Tabby and Josiah went to stay with her family for a few days and I will be joining them Thursday evening after work. I can't believe how dependent I have become on my wife. I was always so independent. I love to cook. I use to love at times being alone. Now I come home to an empty house and it's depressing. My wife isn't there cooking dinner. Josiah isn't crawling around the house looking for his next mission of destruction. I can't believe that a person can actually miss the tired whines of a baby, but here I am doing that exact thing. I am glad that Tabby is able to go out and spend time with her family but we usually do everything together. I guess the absence will make the heart grow fonder. I don't know how people who are separated from those that they love for weeks and months at a time do it. It's only been a day!! Pretty pathetic. But I'll be busy and that will help take my mind off things.

I did have the chance this weekend to go and fill in for a pastor in Paris, KY. The pastor of the Bible Holiness Church had to be at a church camp so we were given the opportunity to preach for the people there. What a wonderful bunch they are. Something about Christian people from KY that just makes you like them even more. We had a wonderful service and great fellowship afterward with the King family. What a wonderful meal we were served. We made it back Sunday evening in time for our service in Batavia. Now we have to get ready for the missions service on Wednesday. And this weekend I will be preaching at my wife's home church filling in for their pastor. God sure keeps me busy. But I love it.

Well, I'll try and get on and post more later. For now I'll just be here missing my family. :)

Church picnic

We had a wonderful time at the church outreach picnic. Everyone in attendance had a great time. We played corn hole and basketball. There were games for the kids and lots of food.Even the puppets came to tell us all about having a clean heart. We want to thank God for His wonderful blessings on that day. Bro. Constable was able to witness to the man in the pic with him and then he and I went into the church and prayed with the man. Praise God.
